The final day of the trip.
In the end we did over 13,000km, and around 6,000km of that was on unsealed roads.
We held out for our first break until we got over the border into NSW. It was at Mungindi for coffee and to warm. There is a very cold breeze blowing today and Frog about has frostbite, he reckons.
We slept in today, it was dark enough in the hotel room that we didn't get up before about 6:45. But, as usual, we got up, ate breakfast, packed, and left.
This morning we were all awake well before the sun was up, so we had the truck packed and waited for the sun to rise so we could set off. Of course, that meant that the sun was right in our eyes as we were driving since we're heading east then south east.
We found out that the kangaroos around here have less road sense than the wallabies from yesterday afternoon. A few decided to play chicken with Frog and one of them almost lost, but Frog was able to brake enough to avoid contact.
